About Barbara Leal, PA-C

Barbara Leal, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than three years of clinical

experience specializing in orthopedic surgery, spine care, and pain management. She provides

comprehensive evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular focus on

spinal disorders, joint pathology, and injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents and other

traumatic events.

Throughout her clinical practice, Ms. Leal has worked alongside orthopedic and spine surgeons in

both surgical and non-surgical patient care. Her experience includes evaluating patients,

developing treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic imaging, and managing acute and chronic

musculoskeletal conditions.

Ms. Leal has extensive experience performing office-based orthopedic and spine procedures,

including joint injections, epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, platelet-rich plasma

(PRP) injections, and other image-guided musculoskeletal procedures. Her procedural experience

provides a practical understanding of the indications, risks, expected outcomes, and standards of

care associated with interventional orthopedic and spine treatment.

In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Leal provides medicolegal consulting services involving

medical record review, personal injury chart review, medical chronologies, and attorney

consultation related to orthopedic, spine, and pain management cases. She is committed to

providing objective, evidence-based medical opinions grounded in current clinical practice and the

medical literature.

Ms. Leal earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida

Atlantic University, graduating cum laude and earning Dean's List recognition. She subsequently

received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Charleston.

She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and

is licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
